The club was formed in February 1985 for the purpose of bringing together collectors of all types of diecast model toys...............
Meetings are held on the last Thursday of the month, the majority of these are held in the Greenbank Social Club, Picktree Lane, Chester-Le-Street at 7.30pm and include guest speakers on various diecast related topics, auctions, model competitions and members talking about their collections and interests. March, July and October meetings are social evenings held at other venues.......................................
In addition to the regular meetings, each year the club organises three "Toy Fairs" in March, June and October held at the North Lodge School, North Road, Chester-Le-Street......There is also an annual outing as well as organised trips to toy fairs further afield.................
There is a vast amount of knowledge and expertise within the club on many topics connected with diecast collecting, and members readily pass on their knowledge within the friendly atmosphere of the club.....
Membership is drawn from the Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Northumberland and Cleveland areas.............................................
